IAPMO R&T Oceana is based in Melbourne, Australia and is accredited by the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) to grant WaterMark licenses under the national WaterMark Certification Scheme (WMCS). 

The Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA) specifies that a material or product that has the WaterMark certification mark and is listed on the WaterMark product database, is recognized by authorities having jurisdiction as being authorized for use in a plumbing or drainage installation.

The WMCS provides for two levels of certification: WaterMark Level 1 and WaterMark Level 2.  Both WaterMark Levels requires that products comply with a specific Australian or International Standard or other suitable published document.  Higher risk products fall under the WaterMark Level 1 scheme and require initial and then ongoing annual factory inspections, whilst lower risk products which fall under the WaterMark Level 2 scheme do not require annual factory inspections.

As a JAS-ANZ accredited product certification body, IAPMO R&T Oceana can certify plumbing and drainage products in accordance with the relevant product Standard, and permit manufactures to mark their certified product with the WaterMark logo.
